TODAY’S KEY NUMBER >> 5800 VISITS

The World Fair for Organic Wines and other alcoholic beverages was a longawaited event and visitors travelled to Montpellier in numbers. Over the first two days, there were 5,800 visits, including 20% from overseas attendees.

WHAT THE EXHIBITORS SAY

Isabelle Mangeart – Winegrower – Clos des Nines

Closnines"I was really looking forward to seeing my customers again, and most of them came, from Canada, Denmark, Holland, Belgium and Romania, to name a few. They were at least as happy as I was to return to the exhibition. It’s a great feeling to be able to engage againin person. I also met quiet a few potential customers who came to see me after visiting the Enoteca area. The freepour tasting enables them to discover wines without the pressure of having the winegrower in front of them. I am delighted to be here and the results halfway through are very positive!"

WHAT THE JOURNALISTS SAY
Colin Muray, editor-in-chief of The Taste (Ireland)

"I decided to come this year because I wanted to find out more about organic winegrowing and other organic alcoholic drinks in general. Consumers in Ireland are ecoconscious and looking for transparency and therefore more and more want to drink organic. That’s why I came to Millésime Bio, because the exhibitors match those values. The new products I found include beers, ciders and other spirits, like gin. I didn’t necessarily come for them, but they are of great interest to our readers".

WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY

Christian Martray, Buyer for Vente à la Propriété

"This is a must-attend event that we travel to every year, and always get the same pleasure from it. It is lovely to have an exhibition where everybody is treated equally. This is a unique opportunity to gather together all the major estates that produce organic wine in France and worldwide. Despite the adverse weather and pandemic, which affected sales for many estates, winegrowers have attended in huge numbers and remain loyal to Millésime Bio, year after year".
