RHUM BOLOGNE
Information
- Description
- Since 1887, the BOLOGNE distillery has been located on a three-century-old sugar cane plantation stretching from the slopes of the Soufrière volcano to the Caribbean Sea.
Heirs to this long tradition, the Sargenton-Callard family has remained faithful to BOLOGNE's artisanal expertise and has always sought to enhance the expression of the terroir and the cane, the only guarantees of the highest quality. BOLOGNE is one of the last distilleries in Guadeloupe to use a copper column, which faithfully reproduces the full aromatic palette of the cane. We age our rums exclusively in oak barrels for a minimum of three years and up to more than ten years... The aging takes place at the distillery, at the foot of the Soufrière volcano.
From being the first organic rum in Guadeloupe to the first HVE (High Environmental Value) certified farm, BOLOGNE combines the best environmental practices for the preservation of natural resources. Awarded the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” label, a distinction unique in France, the BOLOGNE distillery has been recognized as one of France's leading companies in terms of artisanal and industrial expertise.
