Mas des Capitelles
Information
- Description
- The Mas des Capitelles stretches across 28 hectares of schist-covered hillsides in the Faugères appellation, where old-vine Carignan and Mourvèdre, grown organically and biodynamically, draw depth and balance from the land. Low yields, traditional goblet pruning and hand harvesting offer pure, concentrated fruit that remains true to its origin. Because the Carignan and Mourvèdre we cherish so much need time to reveal their full character, we have created two ageing signatures:
- Aion (2 years), where freshness, minerality and aromatic precision take shape through our Vintage Blanc and Vieilles Vignes cuvées.
- Etern (5 years), where tannins soften, the structure harmonises and depth settles in, expressed through Primus, Vintage, Crescendo, Carignan and Collection.
Our winemaking is restrained and respectful, seeking accuracy rather than intervention: gentle extraction, unfiltered wines and minimal sulphur. Ageing in vats and barrels supports each vintage without shaping it, allowing the schist to speak for itself. Every bottle reflects a patient, artisanal approach to wine, guided by balance, freshness and the sincere expression of our terroir.
