- Hi, my name is Stéphane WANTZ.
When I settled on our family estate in 2008, I chose to continue a tradition of winegrowing that goes back more than 4 centuries.Our human-sized estate comprises 11 hectares of vines located on the predominantly limestone soils of Mittelbergheim.
My commitment is to cultivate the vineyard by favouring the life of the soil, by reinforcing the natural defences of the plant, and by respecting the useful fauna and the landscape. Among the methods used, we find grassing, mechanical work of the soil, leaf removal, maintenance of hedges and slopes.
Our signature wines are made from our best parcels located on hillsides, which gives them an exceptional complexity and typicity.
The vinification is carried out according to the same principles of reasoned work, limiting the inputs to the strict minimum so that each bottle is the reflection of its
grape variety, its soil and its vintage.
Our annual production is between 40,000 and 60,000 bottles...depending on Mother Nature.
