Dudon (château)
Information
- Description
- The castle has belonged to our family since 1868. We have never used weedkiller or chemical fertilizers.
Since 1868, we have been working our sandy clay soils on limestone parent rock. This parent rock gives, in combination with the morning mists produced by the confluence between the Ciron and the Garonne, the specificity of the Barsac-Sauternes terroir. This microclimate will favor the development of noble rot (botrytis cinerea) sought for Sauternes. We harvest manually in 3 passes that year. We work as much as possible while respecting the work done by nature by limiting our inputs
