Kostaki Winery Samos
Information
- Description
- It all started in Montpellier, where Evmorfia Kostaki and Lorenz Immerfall met while studying Viticulture and Enology at SupAgro University. Since then, they have shared a common path, completing their WSET Diploma and continuing their studies in Italy and the US, while Evmorfia is also a Master of Wine student.
They decided to return to Samos Island, where Evmorfia is from and take over the family vineyards. In 2023 was the first harvest at their brand new winery: Kostaki. Their vineyards were the first organic certified vineyards on the Island since 2000! The dry-farmed bush vines are all planted with the local massal selection of Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, and we believe this makes the wines more refined than the overt expressions of the commercial clones!
The goal of Kostaki Winery is to become the benchmark producer for Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, the staple variety on Samos Island, and showcase the exciting potential of this misunderstood grape, through different winemaking styles. We believe all Kostaki wines reflect the Island terroir by expressing saltiness, freshness and finesse.
