- Garidelles, a family estate now run by the fourth generation. Nestled in the heart of a picturesque hamlet in the southern Ardèche region of the Rhône Valley, the Garidelles estate covers 27 hectares cultivated organically using cover crops and composted manure, between the Cévennes and the Rhône Valley. Our vineyard is fortunate to combine three very different terroirs: clay-limestone, sandstone-schist, and ancient alluvium, offering us a rich variety of wines.
The estate's philosophy is based on the identity of the terroir and the uniqueness of the vineyard. We do not add sugar to our wines, with a wide range aimed at revealing the minerality and diversity of the terroirs of southern France. Our cellar, unique in the world, allows us to vinify red wines without resorting to pumping the marc, and racking is done using a vacuum suction system. We can therefore work our vinifications gently, limiting overly abrupt tannin extractions. From the arrival of the harvest in the cellar until the end of fermentation, we seek to preserve the natural aromas of the fruits by avoiding mechanical contact and crushing. This unique process is a practical tool that allows us to highlight our work on the quality of the grapes. Our photovoltaic panels allow us to be self-sufficient in electricity. We are committed producers, oriented towards all winemaking processes and healthy and responsible agricultural practices resulting in superior quality, authenticity and integrity.
