Description
QUALITY PRODUCTION FROM TERROIR AND TECHNIQUE

What makes Bomont de Cormeil wines so special?
Listed below are the key characteristics of the terroir and the viticultural techniques employed to maintain high quality and interesting wines year after year.
Team: The Bomont team takes enormous pride in producing wines of outstanding quality:
Location: Bomont de Cormeil has an excellent location for producing fine wine:
Soil: The clay and chalk soil holds water yet drains excess water well
Climate: Robert Parker has said that Provence enjoys the best climate in France for wine
Altitude: Bomont is at 500 meters with hot days and cool nights. The land is also aerated and well ventilated.

Biological culture: No herbicides, pesticides, or chemicals that can enter the vine and grape
Crop limitation: Limited production, max 35 hectolitres per hectare.
Leaf removal: Vine leaves are removed from in front of the grapes to aid ripening and avoid rot.
Optimum maturity: We take risks with the weather to ensure that grapes are only picked when fully mature and then we harvest rapidly
Quality control: Grapes are carefully hand picked into small containers then sorted again by hand at the cellar door.
Technical equipment: Constant improvement in vinification and production using state of the art equipment.
Oak fermentation and aging: Only top quality new French oak barrels are used for fermentation and aging.
Tasting process: Monthly tastings for best product selection.
Bottling: We own our own bottling machine to ensure that our wine is perfectly bottled, corked, and labelled.
Storage: The wines are maintained in a temperature controlled store to guarantee that each bottle leaves the Domaine in the best possible condition.
