Information

Description
Maison ZOELLER, expressing the Alsatian terroir for 11 generations.

This wonderful family story continued with the arrival of Mathieu in 1992. While continuing the work started by his father, Mathieu steered the estate towards greater respect for nature through various certifications. The labels obtained, in organic farming since 2010 and in biodynamics (DEMETER) since 2019, testify to our early commitment to viticulture and wines that respect man and nature.

We strive to preserve biodiversity, microbial vitality and the balance of our soils as much as possible, relying on observation of the vines and the use of different plants to obtain the grapes needed to produce great wines.
Each plot is harvested at its optimum maturity, depending on the type of wine sought. Our winemaking process, which is deliberately minimalist, precise and respectful of cycles, aims to reveal the finesse, strength and balance of our wines.
This allows us to produce a range of wines that are representative of our region:

- Fruit wines: wines focused on freshness and the expression of the grape variety.
- Terroir wines: highlighting the minerality and finesse of our terroirs.
- Sparkling wines: various crémants combining freshness and elegance.
- Late harvests: concentration and purity.
- Nature: a space of freedom for new experiences.

Our estate covers 14 hectares, 5 of which are located on the prestigious Altenberg de Wolxheim Grand Cru. This small village, close to Strasbourg, has been mentioned for over 1,000 years in various writings praising the quality of the local wines.
The Altenberg de Wolxheim is characterised by marl-limestone soils, which produce wines combining a very structured body with a delicate minerality after ageing.

Through each vintage, we seek to convey the soul of our land, the legacy of a passion and ancestral know-how, patiently passed down from generation to generation.

We are members of the Barbarwines association, which brings together organic winegrowers who are also rugby players from all over France.
