La Garrelière (domaine de)
Information
- Description
- In the heart of the Loire Valley, located on a hill near the town of Richelieu, the Domaine de la Garrelière has been in wine-growing land for more than three centuries.
The PLOUZEAU family has been working the vines biodynamically for 30 years on 20 hectares composed of mainly flint clay soil, limestone and aeolian sand. White grape varieties - Sauvignon, Chenin and Chardonnay and red grape varieties Cabernet franc and Gamay and Pinot Noir
Far from conventional thinking, the work of the vines and the aging of the wines are guided by the laws of Mother Nature.
François, Pascale and Antoine put all their passion into producing living wines. They take care of the land and the vines, protecting and stimulating the vines with biodynamic preparations, composts, plant teas and thus promoting the indigenous diversity of their environment.
Concerned about producing quality wines and the expression of its terroir, the harvest is manual and the wines are vinified with as few inputs as possible (native yeasts, unfiltered wine, sulfur adjustment at bottling or not).
