Description

Domaine de Métifiot is a family-run wine and olive oil estate cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods (Demeter certified since 2024), located in Saint Rémy de Provence. The winery is located near the archaeological site of Glanum and the site of St Paul de Mausole, created on family farmland four generations ago.
The wine-growing adventure began in 2016 when Laurence inherited the family land.
Together with her husband Benoît, they decided to plant vines to complement the olive trees already planted by her father and to take on the lease of some beautiful plots of old vines.
Our vineyard is located exclusively on the northern slope of the beautiful limestone Alpilles mountain range, in the heart of a preserved local biodiversity.
Our 16 hectares of vines are spread over three areas.
We have a lovely diversity of grape varieties (mainly Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Mourvèdre for reds; mainly Rolle, Grenache blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Bourboulenc for whites) and local varieties of olive trees.
We manage our vineyard and olive groves with the utmost attention and care, as our aim is to have living soil and plants in order to achieve a beautiful balance and expression of our unique terroir in our production.
We produce two main cuvées in three colors:
- the “Les Essentiels” cuvée in IGP Alpilles, where we seek a beautiful balance between complexity and indulgence.

- our grand cuvée “Domaine de Métifiot” in the Les Baux-de-Provence AOP, where we co-ferment our old vines and use longer vinification and aging on lees to gain volume and complexity while maintaining a mineral-driven structure.
