Description: Sophie Germanier’s journey in wine began in her childhood, inspired by her father, a winemaker and businessman in Switzerland. His passion for wine was contagious, motivating her to follow in his footsteps. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in the UK, Sophie moved to South Africa in 2014 to take over the family business. She immersed herself in every facet of the wine industry, from organic farming to international exports, and developed a profound commitment to environmental sustainability.

Sophie believes that organic practices are essential to the future of winemaking, both for the health of the land and the longevity of the industry.

In 2020, Sophie launched her own brand, Organic Wine by Sophie Germanier, with the goal of inspiring consumers to choose wines that prioritize the environment and society. Through her organic, sustainable wines, Sophie aims to demonstrate that quality and consciousness can go hand in hand, and to encourage a shift toward more responsible choices in the wine industry.

With every bottle, Sophie is not only creating exceptional wine but also championing a vision of sustainability—one that is mindful of both the land and the people who nurture it.
