Tenuta Tre Gemme

Description: The estate covers 70 hectares of vineyards between the two municipalities of Catignano and Civitaquana, in the province of Pescara in the Terra dei Vestini area. It is divided into two blocks, one covering 45 hectares and the other 25, with vineyards of varying ages. The oldest are cultivated using the Abruzzo pergola method and are over 40 years old. The varieties grown are mainly native to Abruzzo (Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina) but also include some international varieties: Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and a small vineyard of Riesling Renano planted under the Gran Sasso over 35 years ago.

The winery is located in the centre of the largest plot and was built in the late 1960s with underground concrete tanks, built on site. It has been constantly maintained and expanded, and has recently been enriched with the latest technology.
Rocco Perrucci, the founder, transformed the family properties into a business in the early 1960s, consolidating the land, diversifying the vineyards and building the historic main building of the current winery. However, the main activity was still selling high-quality bulk wine ready for bottling. His daughters, Carla and Anna, took over the reins of the family business in 2018, embarking on a major restructuring in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. The Tenuta Tre Gemme brand is their contribution to the history of their family and this territory: an exclusive brand for wines of excellence.
