Description: Château Guiraud, 1st Classified Growth in 1855

Founded in 1766 by Bordeaux wine merchant Pierre Guiraud and recognized as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, Château Guiraud has always stood out for its independent spirit and pioneering vision.

Nestled in the heart of Sauternes, the estate produces outstanding sweet wines that embody the magic of Botrytis cinerea, as well as refined dry whites that reveal the full expression of its terroirs.

Since 2022, a new chapter has begun under the ownership of Matthieu Gufflet, whose ambition is to develop a unique Terres de Natures wine tourism experience. With Sandrine Garbay now leading the estate, crafting wines of elegance, precision, and timeless balance, Château Guiraud reaffirms its quest for excellence and its modern interpretation of Sauternes.
