Clos la Coutale
Information
- Description
- Today, Philippe Bernède, who has inherited the "savoir-faire" of six generations of winemakers, has been leading and managing the Clos La Coutale for more than 40 years, between tradition and modernity.
In order to share his passion, his wine and his attachment to the terroirs of the Southwest, export became his main market.
In 2010, The Wine Spectator (specialized magazine in the USA) ranked Le Clos La Coutale 2007 as the 76th best 100 wines in the world.
Engaged in conversion to organic farming in 2019, Philippe Bernède was joined by his eldest son Sébastien in 2021 and obtained organic certification in 2022.
Finally, an inventor at heart, he was awarded at the Concours Lépine in Paris in 2005 and has also created a range of clever and functional corkscrews.
