- Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Roussillon forms an amphitheater opening onto the Mediterranean Sea to the east, bordered by the Corbières massif to the north and the Pyrenees to the south. Vines have been grown here for thousands of years, with the first traces of cultivation dating back to Greek antiquity. It is in this setting that we have been working for several generations. The Domaine des Schistes is located at the crossroads of the Agly Valley terroirs, in the communes of Estagel, Tautavel, and Maury. This diversity of soils, exposures, and microclimates allows us to produce a range of wines with strong personalities, marked by the minerality of our schist mountains and the generosity of the Roussillon grape varieties.
