Description

Château Pudris was taken over by Thierry and Virginie Thibault in 2022 after Thierry spent 20 years as a winegrower in Champagne.
Perched on a limestone plateau overlooking the Garonne plain near La Réole in South Gironde, the estate comprises 8 hectares of vines on a single plot. Thierry and Virginie had the rare opportunity to start from scratch and create wines that truly reflect their vision.
While preserving the Bordeaux spirit with two "Château" cuvées, the rest of the production explores a more unconventional path. Their range includes original Vin de France wines, single-varietal bottlings (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon...), as well as a Bordeaux Clairet (Merlot) and Pét-Nat Rosé.

Reviving Bordeaux Clairet: This historic Bordeaux style, known for its fresh red fruit, lower alcohol, and silky structure, is being brought back to life by Château Pudris. Easy to drink, food-friendly, and elegant, it meets today's demand for authentic, balanced wines—offering Bordeaux quality with immediate drinkability. Classic has never been so contemporary.

Committed to sustainable practices, the estate implements eco-grazing, natural ground cover, hand-harvesting in small crates, and low-intervention winemaking in ovoid tanks, all complemented by refined packaging.

From its very first vintage in 2022, the wines stand out as a perfect embodiment of the new wave of Bordeaux—original, unconventional, yet deeply rooted in history and terroir.
