Domaine de Verchant
Information
- Description
- With over 2,000 years of winemaking history, the estate owes its name to Pierre Verchant, Bishop of Montpellier, who acquired it in February 1582.
Now owned by the Mestre family, the vineyard covers nearly 38 hectares of certified organic vines spread over two properties, Domaine de Verchant and Château Les Mazes in Saint-Aunès, acquired in 2022.
Located in the La Méjanelle terroir, the vineyard is planted on rounded pebble soils, remnants of the ancient bed of the Rhône River. The Mediterranean climate and precise parcel work allow us to produce elegant, delicious wines with a distinct identity.
