Barmes-Buecher (domaine)
Information
- Description
- Domaine Barmès-Buecher was founded in 1985 by Geneviève Barmès (née Buecher) and her husband François Barmès, who combined the land of their respective families, who had owned vines in Wettolsheim since the 17th century. Certified biodynamic since 2001, the estate makes its wines in the heart of the vineyard, using an excellent raw material, the grape, grown with care and respect. This specific growing method places respect for the terroir, the environment and the living organism that is the earth and the vines at the heart of its concerns. At Domaine Barmès-Buecher, Geneviève, Sophie and Maxime Barmès, supported by a team of 8 people, favour tailor-made work, parcel by parcel, to produce wines of terroir and great authenticity. Each bottle bears the imprint of its terroir (Grand Cru Hengst, Grand Cru Pfersigberg, Grand Cru Steingrubler, Rosenberg, Leimental, Clos Sand, Herrenweg), continuing the family tradition that goes back several generations.
