Domaine Malavieille
Information
- Description
- Pioneers of organic and biodynamic viticulture in Languedoc, we have been certified for over twenty years.
Our greatest strength, however, lies in our duality: the family cultivates two properties on very different terroirs.
Upstream from the Salagou Valley, at the westernmost edge of the Terrasses du Larzac, Domaine de Malavieille produces fresh, light, and mineral wines amidst a jumble of red pelites and basalts, on poor, well-drained soils. The isolated and concentrated location of the vines also allows us to continue our research towards sustainable and virtuous agriculture, focused on preserving biodiversity through agroforestry and vitipastoralism.
On clay-limestone slopes, in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac, Le Mas de Bertrand produces generous wines, reflecting the depth of its soils where the vine roots penetrate deeply. They thus give full expression to these small plots patiently acquired and worked over the years since Juliette, the great-grandmother, and then by her descendants.
