Ribonnet (domaine de)
Information
- Description
- The Domaine de Ribonnet, located 30 km south of Toulouse, facing the Pyrenees mountains, has always combined the cultivation of vines and cereals. Since the 1970s, it has been in the hands of the Gerber family, originally from Switzerland. Christian Gerber, through numerous experiments, planted up to 25 grape varieties over about forty hectares. His son, Simon, took over in 2017. Today, there are 14 grape varieties thriving on 24 hectares, which have been organically farmed since 2001. In a sunny and windy landscape, on clay-limestone and clay-silt soils, the young winemaker is dedicated to creating delicate and aromatic wines.
