Mehofer (Weingut)
Information
- Description
- The Mehofer family has lived on the Neudeggerhof estate for more than 300 years. Since 1992 all wines have been produced organically. Today, the tenth generation is focusing on typical Austrian varieties such as Grüner Veltliner and Roter Veltliner. "Loess", a particular type of soil, provides a sound basis to the wines which are also strongly influenced by a rather cool Austrian climate. The family also extracts honey, uses light-glass-bottles and grows trees for barrel production. All activities are part of a philosophy that influences not only the family’s wines, but also the lives of generations to come.
