DORMY
Information
- Description
- Burgundy vineyards have been enlightened by the Romans and magnified by the monks from Cluny and Citaux. Owned by the Dukes of Burgundy, the region was attached to France only in 1477.
Settled in Burgundy in the XV century, DORMY family first became close to the Dukes of Burgundy, then to the King of France, from François 1 to Louis XIV. Its privileged relations as personal advisors to the King make it an important and powerful family in Burgundy and Mâconnais.
The historical family crest defines the personality of DORMY with the Parrot as an emblem, symbol of eloquence and modernity; accompanying a Chevron, symbol of perseverance and dedication; and a Roundel, symbol of defense for the perpetuation of their values.
