Domaine des Bosquets
Information
- Description
- In 2009, Julien Bréchet took over the reins of Domaine des Bosquets, an iconic family estate in Gigondas. The vineyard covers 50 hectares, including 26 hectares classified as Gigondas, with a mosaic of unique terroirs: limestone marl, sand, sandy clay, and red sandstone. Planted with 85% old vines aged between 50 and 100 years old, it benefits from cool exposures on the western and northern slopes, at altitudes ranging from 200 to 550 meters, offering late and balanced ripeness.
Certified organic since 2021 and in conversion to biodynamics with Biodyvin, the estate places biodiversity and respect for the soil at the heart of its approach. Vinification is carried out on a plot-by-plot basis, allowing each location to express its personality, enhanced by precise aging in old wood.
Julien Bréchet thus produces wines with a distinct identity and marked mineral elegance, which accurately reflect the richness and diversity of the Gigondas terroirs.
