Description: Domaine Sainte Octime : our story
Domaine Sainte Octime is the culmination of a family passion for winemaking that has spanned more than ten generations—passed down from father to son.
Today, we, Lionel and Elodie, cultivate and vinify around fifteen hectares, producing our entire range of wines under the IGP Cévennes label.
Our choice of IGP Cévennes is driven by the freedom it gives us to create singular, unconventional blends using atypical grape varieties. For us, every bottle tells a historical story—our story.
Our vineyard is situated in Sardan in the South East of France, nestled on the foothills of the Cévennes. Here, the combination of cool nights and specific soils provides the perfect terroir, resulting in wines with exceptional fruitiness, aromatic complexity, and freshness.
Having our own bottling line right here on the estate is a major advantage; it grants us excellent flexibility and adaptability in all our packaging choices.
We are also deeply committed to the environment. We embrace regenerative farming practices, including employing plant cover, reintroducing hedges, and grazing our own sheep in the vineyards to preserve this unique ecosystem.
