- A Love Story of Terroir and Passion
Pauline, great-granddaughter, granddaughter, and dauhgter of vinegrowers in Provence, grew up to the rhythm of the seasons that shape the wine and the wealth of Provence’s terroirs. Xavier, great-grandson of a livestock farmer and farmer in the Southwest, has always had a « dream » for the land.
Today, we share our lives and our passion for the vineyard by giving life to « Berli ».
What is Berli ?
The name BERLI comes from the Provencal term « petite Berle », which means Wild Watercress. This semi-aquatic perennial plant is typical of certain plots of the Estate. Its presence indicates fresh and humid soils, ideal for producing aromatic, subtle, and indulgent wines. Maxime, Pauline’s grandfather and vinegrower himself, had also named « Berli » this qualitative terroir.

Winemacking
The harvest takes place in the early morning, mechanically for white and rosé wines, and manually for red wine. The winemaking process currently takes place in an historic cooperative cella in the Coteaux d’Aix en Provence area. The grapes are vinifed in stainless steel tanks and fermentations occur at low temperatures, and we craft our wines as naturally as possible. Eging, blendind and bottlingare carried out in our cellar in Lambesc.
