- Description
- The Wilfried estate, located in Rasteau in the southern Rhône Valley, has a long family history dating back to the 18th century. Initially a mixed farming operation, the family farm focused on viticulture and wine production after the First World War when the cellar was built. Since then, each generation has brought its own personal vision to the winemaking profession.
Réjane and Wilfried Pouzoulas, sister and brother, took over the estate in the late 1990s, following the retirement of their father Jean Luc Pouzoulas.
The duo, while remaining close and complementary, share the roles well.
Réjane takes care of the commercial side and Wilfried takes care of the vines.
When it comes to winemaking, they combine their skills to produce wines characterised by fruitiness, aromatic freshness and finesse.
‘As winemakers who are conscious of climate issues, our intention is simply to create a favourable environment in which the vines can grow naturally and give us the best of their fruit.’
