- Our estate is nestled in Westhalten, at the foot of the Zinnkoepflé Grand Cru, which rises to 430 meters, in the heart of the Vallée Noble, south of Colmar. Sheltered from prevailing winds and harsh weather by the Vosges mountains, the Vallée Noble has been renowned for producing great wines for several centuries.
The subsidence of the Rhine Graben has shaped the remarkable mosaic of terroirs found in Alsace. This geological diversity leads us to cultivate each parcel separately and vinify our wines individually, allowing the unique character of every climat to be fully expressed.
To preserve the richness and authenticity of our wines and to share it with you, our estate is farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles (Demeter certification), with the utmost respect for natural balances. Our soils are ploughed or lightly cultivated depending on the vineyard’s cycle and the specific weather conditions of each vintage. Most vineyard work is carried out by hand and adapted to the individual needs of each parcel.
This approach enables the vine to grow harmoniously, drawing the nutrients it needs from the soil. By combining ancestral know-how with modern techniques, we strive to reveal the full expression of our terroirs and to offer wines that are truly unique and distinctive. We take great pleasure in crafting each of our cuvées and hope to share this joy with you through your tasting experiences.
