Mas de Janiny
Information
- Description
- Located in Saint-Bauzille-de-la-Sylve, in the heart of the Hérault valley, straddling two Languedoc appellations: Grés de Montpellier and Terrasses du Larzac. Mas de Janiny is a family estate founded in 1989 by brothers Thierry and Pascal Julien. From the outset, the estate has been committed to organic farming, with the aim of producing quality wine while preserving the terroir, the environment, and health. The majority of our vintages are based on a philosophy that has remained unchanged since our beginnings. Despite the changing climate, we are committed to producing fresh, fruity, and very indulgent wines. We also seek to achieve precise control of fine, balanced tannins in order to enhance the elegance of our wines.
The vineyard covers 130 hectares of mainly clay-limestone soils, nestled in the middle of the garrigue, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate.
Among the emblematic vintages is “Le Temps des Gitans,”
