GUILHEM (château)
Information
- Description
- Family-owned since 1878, the estate is now managed by Bertrand GOURDOU-GUILHEM, the fifth generation, and spans 35 hectares certified Organic (AB) since 2010. Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the vineyards lie on clay-limestone terraces influenced by both Atlantic and Mediterranean climates, giving the Languedoc terroir a truly unique character.
The wines are made from blends of Atlantic grape varieties, with a strong presence of Cabernet Franc.
Today, the estate is embracing wine tourism, offering rental of the 17th-century château (with 9 bedrooms), a swimming pool, and a large park with century-old trees. The property also features seminar rooms and a pop-up restaurant, where local chefs create wine and food pairings that highlight regional products.
Since 2022, we’ve also offered our wines in eco-friendly packaging (lightweight bottles, labels made from recycled paper, bio-based corks and cartons, no capsule...) as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
