- This pioneering project marks the launch of Europe’s first carbon-negative wine, a blend of Marzemino Nero and Merlot. Thanks to a rigorous carbon footprint assessment conducted with Carbon Jacked, Contrà Soarda not only minimized emissions across the entire production process but also invested in verified projects that offset twice the amount of CO₂ generated. The result is a wine that not only respects the environment but actively contributes to biodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This wine reveals a vibrant character: the Marzemino lends elegance, fine acidity, and floral-spicy notes, while the Merlot contributes structure, roundness, and soft fruit. The palate is harmonious yet dynamic, with a lingering finish that mirrors the volcanic terroir. Its profile resonates perfectly with the surrounding landscape, rich, layered, and full of vitality, making every glass both a sensory and a sustainable experience.
